South through Central France

Leaving Tim & Sue's  we start our steady meander down through the heart of France with the loose destination of Carcassonne in our minds. At this pace it will take ages to get there which is just fine by us as the weather is set to become quite hot

We manage to pick some excellent aires en route many of which are lakeside locations

This one overlooks the lake at Crandelles

Loads of space here Tim to walk 'Poppy'

In to the Cantal dept of the Auvergne we discover a great 2 night location at Vieillevie on the River Lot

First day was over 30 degs but we managed to knock out our longest ride yet of 58km along the river

Local business opportunity up for grabs

The only restaurant in town had plenty of sunday diners even at these prices...

Local town hall

This is our next destination

A bike ride across Departements to Entraygues sur Truyère

What a find this was, just out of town along the river, 4 courses with wine and coffee all in for just €12.50 each

You could here a pin drop here at night, absolute tranquility

Bon Nuit mes Amis
